Louise is our Founder, Creator, Managing Director and driving force here at 4thought Psychology.
She has passionately supported children, adolescents, and families for over thirty years in roles within education, hospitals, and private clinical practice.

As a Senior Psychologist her work centres around anxiety related disorders, trauma, and child related therapeutic interventions. Louise has a specialist interest in supporting families through issues around relationship breakdown, conflict, separation, and Family Court prevention. She believes strongly in preventative interventions and in helping parents navigate separation with respect, dignity, and an emphasis on finding ways to mutually support child welfare and wellbeing.

She continually seeks out new ways in which she can positively impact the emotional wellbeing of her clients and the wider community and is a passionate advocate for incorporating the latest therapeutic approaches into practice, including EMDR, EFT (Tapping), Yoga Therapy and Animal Assisted Therapy to profoundly impact people’s lives.

Lou works with children of all ages, adolescents, adults, families & couples.

Kerry is a registered psychologist with over 25 years’ clinical experience, bringing her background in Neuropsychology to the therapeutic realm. She ensures her therapeutic treatment plans are targeted individually to clients’ cognitive capacity and thinking biases and are presented in ways that maximise the brain’s ability to apply learned skills in a meaningful way.

She is passionate about supporting clients of all ages to better understand their emotions, abilities, intuition, and uniqueness so they can enjoy living at their potential. Her work draws on a range of approaches including EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness Therapy, Play Therapy and Trauma Re-Scripting,

Kerry supports clients across all life stages, working with children of all ages, adolescents, adults, families & couples.

Graeme is a registered psychologist, holding a Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology. He has extensive experience working with adults, parents, and families in a range of settings, including community health, education, clinical practice, disability, juvenile justice, and child protection. 

He has a particular interest in working with adults suffering from PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and with parents whose children have been diagnosed with developmental disorders, including ASD, ADHD, and behaviour disorders such as oppositional defiant disorder.

Graeme’s scope of practice currently focuses on working with adolescents over the age of 15 years and adults seeking support.

Maddy is registered Clinical Psychologist with over 5 years clinical experience working extensively across public, private and community mental health sectors. She has completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Psychology.

Maddy’s approach is compassionate, collaborative, client-centred and holistic. Her main therapeutic approaches include Compassion-focussed therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and positive psychology-based approaches. Maddy has also developed skills in clinical assessment, formulation, diagnosis, and risk assessment. 

Maddy has demonstrated ability in fostering strong therapeutic relationships with a varied range of client groups, but she particularly enjoys working with children, young people, and their families.  Maddy helps families connect and communicate more effectively through challenging circumstances. Her approach with children is calm, kind, and playful and she has developed creative ways of effectively teaching children complex skills such as mindfulness of self and others. 

Maddy supports clients across all life stages, including children of all ages, adolescents, adults, and families.

Namrata is a Registered Psychologist who holds a Master’s in Applied Psychology, Bachelor of Science Psychology and Bachelor of Science with a double major in Psychology and minor in Human Biology. 

Namrata has over 5 years’ clinical experience working with client groups across the lifespan in a variety of settings. Namrata employs a holistic approach when working with clients, considering the role and impact of sleep, diet, exercise, and other lifestyle factors.

Based in Western Australia, Nam exclusively works remotely via Telehealth, connecting with clients wherever they are, offering a flexible, comfortable, logistically viable therapeutic option for so many of us who are time poor and struggling to balance the demands of busy lives.  

Namrata primarily works with adolescents over the age of 13 years and adults.

Ellie’s area of niche is working with adolescents and adults throughout the life span. With experience working in hospital research, community health, forensic psychology, vulnerable groups, perpetrators and victims of crime, equips Ellie with the ability to navigate complex sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

Ellie takes a client-centred approach, ensuring that her interventions and strategies are tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. Drawing from evidence-based therapies, Ellie incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), and mindfulness in her practice.

Ellie has experience in conducting semi-structured interviews, cognitive and mental health assessments, as well as writing reports. She is proficient in conducting formulation, diagnosis, risk assessment, providing comprehensive support and expert assessments to assist in the legal process, VOCAT (Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal) reports.

Passionate about working with adolescents and young adults, Ellie has witnessed the transformative power of therapy in their lives. She emphasises the importance of involving families in the therapeutic process to promote positive change and provide holistic support.

Candice brings a diverse and comprehensive skill set to our practice, ensuring that clients receive the highest quality of care. With over 12 years of experience as a psychologist, and previously as a teacher, she possesses a deep understanding of learning and well-being. Candice specializes in educational and behavioural assessments, making her an invaluable resource for families seeking to address their children’s unique requirements. She also offers a range of therapeutic interventions to tailor to the specific needs of children, young people, and families.

Sarah is a Registered Psychologist who passionately focuses her work in supporting young people. She has a depth of experience working with clients from primary school age, through to young adults in their early 20’s, and finds clients in this age range really respond to her therapeutic approach. 

Sarah has a keen interest in working collaboratively with clients and helps them tackle topics and situations they find themselves challenged with at various life stages, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, identity, self-esteem, body image, and academic stress.

Sarah is a passionate advocate and provider of safe and affirming mental health support to members of the LGBTIQA+ community. 

Sarah supports clients across the lifespan, but primarily works with children aged 8 and up, through to adults of all ages.

Jessie is a Provisional Psychologist with a special interest in adolescents, young adults, and children. Her experience has expanded in roles as a Student Counsellor at a selective entry high school.  Jessie’s expertise focuses on anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism, friendship and relationship issues, self-esteem and body image issues, academic challenges, and sleep difficulties.

Working collaboratively with clients to build genuine and trusting relationships to help turn adversities into opportunities for growth is significant. Jessie understands that adolescence is a life stage full of exciting and turbulent changes such as puberty, body image issues, education difficulties, risk taking behaviours and identity crises. Through parent work, Jessie also seeks to provide psychoeducation about their child’s concerns/difficulties coupled with strategies and communication skills to better assist their child.

Jessie is trained in Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Interventions (MBI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).  Jessie is skilled in assessment, formulation, diagnosis, consultation, risk assessment and safety planning.

​As an Asian-Australian psychologist, Jessie adopts a culturally sensitive lens in her practice and aims to provide therapy informed by the client’s cultural values and factors. She understands how culture impacts mental health and wellbeing. Seeking and receiving help can be challenging due to the perceived stigma in mental illness in Asian communities and the difficulty with accessing culturally appropriate mental health support. Jessie supports clients exploring cultural identity, belonging, acculturation stress, family structure and intergenerational issues.

Sally is a Registered Psychologist with over 16 years of experience working in schools, where she has supported students with a range of learning, social, and emotional challenges. 

She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology, is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, a Fellow of the College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists, and a member of the APS Psychologists in Schools Interest Group. 

Sally is available at 4thought to support clients seeking formal Cognitive & Educational Assessments and specialises in working with children and adolescents.

Manuela holds a Graduate Certificate of Counselling and Psychotherapy, is an accredited telephone crisis supporter with Lifeline, and is currently completing further education towards a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She offers counselling and life coaching to adults and young adults. 

Manuela’s career background is impressive, having previously worked as a lawyer, HR consultant and interpreter working in hospitals, mental health facilities, and prisons. In these environments she witnessed first-hand the devastating effects mental health concerns can have on people. This inspired her to change career direction and find ways she could contribute more directly to mental health solutions in her community.

In her work as a counsellor, psychotherapist and life coach Manuela seeks to help people to delve deeper into their emotions, make sense of them, and the setbacks they have encountered in life, to empower them to move towards creating positive change.

Nina is a qualified coach and counsellor who specialises in working with adults, adolescents, and their families. 

Nina brings insight and experience accumulated through working across a range of industries to her role supporting clients from all walks of life identify, explore, and resolve the personal challenges they face. Nina uses a warm, motivating, holistic approach and encourages people to embrace their strengths and gain perspective as they move towards achieving their goals.

Nina is a proud mum of two beautiful children, one of whom is neurodivergent, and this personal experience further fuels her passion for working with young people, and their families through associated parental work, to provide them with practical strategies and communication skills which enable positive change and encourage them to bloom.

Nina’s work as a Positive Behavioural Support Practitioner allows her to bring support to families with disabilities and neurodivergence. These skills combined with her counselling techniques provide caregivers and parents the chance to find strategies to improve the quality of their lives.

Louise Godfrey is an Allied Health practitioner specialising in the mind body connection. Yoga therapy is a type of therapy that uses yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and guided imagery to improve mental and physical health. The holistic focus encourages the integration of a multi-dimensional system of health and well-being that focuses on the mind and its functions, including four main categories of practice: i) physical postures and movement; ii) breathing exercises; iii) relaxation; and iv) mindfulness and meditation.

Blueberry is a fluffy flower child who loves to enthusiastically explore and discover every corner of her world with a hop, skip and a jump!  She possesses an optimistic and adventurous spirit, embracing every new encounter with curiosity and independence.  Blueberry trusts and believes that only good things will happen to her, but is resilient and recovers quickly from any challenges and misunderstandings she does face.  She’ll be the first to bound over and greet a familiar face, with expectations of fun and positive vibes.  Her favourite snacks are apples, dandelion leaves, and flowers.

Our beautiful Bennie boy certainly teaches little people how to overcome their fears! His special gift lies in teaching us patience, how to respect people’s past experiences and understand how they have been shaped by them. He demonstrates how friendship is built through consistent trust, compassion, patience, devotion, and kindness.  He loves eating his greens and, if you want a secret hint to win him over, bamboo and kale are definite favourites!  This bunny is master of his own domain, and no amount of chasing will force his affections. Bennie rewards gentle patience, establishing and honouring his own definite boundaries around when he feels like seeking you out and connecting with you.

Don’t be deceived by her angelic, innocent, butter wouldn’t melt cuteness! Snooks is an in-charge boss bunny and lets everyone know it!  She’s affectionate and playful with those that earn her trust but cross a line with her and she won’t hesitate in making her feelings felt with a thump, a light nip, or simply by choosing to ignore you with cool indifference – regardless of any tasty treats you might try to tempt her with! She is endlessly inquisitive and will often team up with Blueberry to embark on great adventurous escapes into the backyard. Her favourite treats are carrots, dandelion leaves, and cucumber.   

Narda began her career in retail, working as a senior store and general manager for boutique brands and large corporations. She now brings an eye for detail, strong operational background, and a commitment to exceptional customer service developed in these environments into her role here as 4thought’s Practice Manager.

Narda has been leading, running, and helping to grow medical, surgical, and allied health practices for more than 10 years, and is grateful she has the opportunity each day to impact people in positive ways and help to enhance their client experience.

4thought’s mission is to continually improve and elevate our client experience, and Narda is committed to being hands on and approachable. She welcomes discussing any feedback, suggestions, or concerns clients may have at any time throughout their engagement with 4thought to exceed client expectations.

In her downtime, Narda is a passionate reader of Australian/New Zealand crime fiction, loves to experiment in the kitchen with healthy culinary creations, and is a slightly obsessive indoor plant collector.

Deb comes from a background in finance and administration.

After having two beautiful children, Deb found herself drawn to administrative work in the allied health realm, where she feels her attention to detail, organisational skills and strong work ethic can have a positive impact in an important environment.

When not in the office Deb can be found working toward her 1^st dan black belt in Taekwondo, reading crime novels, enjoying a bit of retail therapy and driving her mum taxi.

Andie is a hardworking psychology student. She enjoys expanding her knowledge in all aspects of the Psychology field and is fascinated with the workings of the human brain. At 4thought, Andie is a welcoming receptionist with a great motivation to one day, become a psychologist herself. Alongside her hard work, Andie is a bubbly and confident young girl who’s always available for a lighthearted conversation and a laugh. Andie spends most of her time with her friends or relaxing by the beach.

Donna brings her background in psychology, coaching, counseling, and administration to the administrative team at 4thought. She has always been driven by a deep curiosity about human behavior, the mind, and the intricate workings of the brain. Her interests extend to quantum physics, exploring life’s deeper mysteries, and embracing new age perspectives.

Donna is also a dedicated mum to two young boys and has a profound love for animals. She finds joy in the outdoors, whether it’s at the beach or in the mountains, and has a passion for dancing—even if it’s just in her kitchen these days.
